Due to an internal promotion they are now seeking a Procurement Category Manager to continue growing and leading the Building Products Category.
About the Role:
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be at the forefront of category leadership, supplier engagement and strategic procurement initiatives. Your ability to negotiate, influence, and deliver commercially beneficial outcomes will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement
– Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure best in market agreements and strategic partnerships.
Commercial Negotiation
– Develop unique commercial propositions, leveraging group volumes to enhance market position.
Category Management
– Conduct data-driven analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve outcomes.
Contract & Performance Management
– Negotiate and manage supplier contracts while assessing ongoing performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Leadership & Development
– Lead, mentor, and develop an Assistant Procurement Manager while fostering collaboration across teams.
About You:
- Proven experience in category management, procurement, or supplier relations within a relevant industry (Preferably Building Products or Construction)
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at operational and executive levels.
- Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that drive profitability and market share.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A results driven, self motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
