About the Company and Role:

Collaborate with a diverse, close nit team and contribute to managing and maintaining core network infrastructure. This role is part of a small team of a Network Architect, DevOps Lead and Engineers, Voice Engineer and Junior Network Engineer and has the opportunity to be exposed to a range of projects within data centres, networks and infrastructure. This role reports to the Head of DevOps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage core network infrastructure
- Monitor networks and troubleshoot escalated issues
- Work on migration and maintenance of a new data centre
- Design and build Ad Hoc solutions for customers
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to plan and execute network upgrades and expansion projects
- Share shifts on the On-Call roster (approximately on a 5 week cycle)
- 4+ years experience working as a Network Engineer
- Experience within a telecommunication company/ ISP
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching
- Understanding of DevOps teams and their practices
- Experience working with Juniper/Cisco/Mikrotik is preferred
- Experience with Linux and network troubleshooting on a Linux based host.
- Knowledge on RADIUS Accounting systems would be a bonus!
